I trained as a beauty therapist in 2016 and graduated from the Wellness Academie in Amsterdam. After setting up my own salon, I discovered that I was more drawn to the wellness aspect of what I had learnt in my training. I decided to focus my treatments on relaxation massage and rejuvenating facial treatments. I have created an environment that is calming, cool, and tranquil and I love to see my clients take some time for themselves to fully relax.
I live with my husband, 3 dogs, 2 cats, 3 donkeys and 6 chickens, enjoy learning about healthy living, yoga, cooking, connecting with nature, travelling, seeing friends… and the odd glass of wine or party!
Why Kiri?
Finding a name was not easy. I wanted a name which had a personal meaning to me. New Zealand has a very special place in my heart as I had a wonderful experience travelling this stunning country in 2005 and it was where I met my husband, so it seemed appropriate to choose a name related to New Zealand and where my journey started.
Kiri is a Maori word meaning ‘skin’ and ‘person’ or ‘self’. This word encompasses everything that I want it to represent. In our busy lives, we very rarely take time for ourselves and it’s importance is highly underestimated. Taking care of yourself should be priority, then you have the energy to help and give to others.
